  2. What is it?
  3. Shows or Hides the Controls palette.
  4.  
  5. How to use it
  6. The Controls palette has various controls and information for the sound.
  7.  
  8. The X and Y data fields show the position of the mouse.
  9.  
  10. The Selection and Loop Length data fields show the selection and the loop points.
  11.  
  12. The Sound Length data field show the length of the sound.  While selecting part of the sound or if the Caps Lock key is down, it shows the length of the selection.  While playing a sound, it shows the position of the play cursor.

  14. The Sample Size/Rate and Free RAM fields show the sample size/sample rate, and the amount of free RAM in thousands of bytes.

  17. You can choose how the sound data will be displayed with "Display" Preferences.  The data can de displayed in samples, seconds, 60ths of a second, or 1000ths of a second (milliseconds).
